Hervey Bay and FRASER Island

We booked a two day safari to Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world. Our guides, Richard and Mike, were great. We visited all the sights of the island (lakes, creeks, colored sandcliffs, lookoffs) and had a BBQ for supper. WE slept in a bed, onland, for hte first time sinse Sydney.
The second day, we hiked a sanddoon to a lake for a swim. Our guide told us stories of the island, the aboriginals, DINGOS which the island has many of, and other interesting stories, too many to write about. WE arived back in Hervey Bay around supper and drove a few hours to Gympie, where we are now waiting to have our muffler fixed, which went the second day of our trip and we are just getting around to fixing now.
