PORT Douglas & Cape Tribulation
As recommended by Mr. MacKinnon, we made our way to Port Douglas. A small, posh town, lots of resorts, etc. Our highlight, again, was the diving. We went on a day diving trip this time. Three dives and back to shore. We are addicted! Two more, harless, sharks this time!
We stayed at a campsite, one of two, unfortunately we chose the wrong one as in the morning when we woke, all our food was gone! I think they did a fridge cleaning, but it just started the day off all wrong!
We drove to Cape Tribulation, another popular place to visit. About 2 1/2 hours north of Port Douglas. There was not much there to see. The beaches looked amazing, but it is too hot to veg on the beach, and you cannot swim because of Jellyfish. We stayed around the campground pool, did a few walks. My highlight was seeing hte Cassuary and two chicks on the drive (a large rare ostrich looking bird) One night at the cape and we drove back to Port Douglas, for you guessed it, another dive trip!
