TORREVIEJA
We tried to look at the eclipse 10 am today from Marja's and Pentti's 11th level appartment on the top of a hill looking over the sea. The sky was cloudy first time this morning. Luckily I suddendly saw through the clouds the eclipse clearly for about half an hour starting about 11.10
Torrevieja used to be a small fishing village until 1920's it was totally destroyed by an earthquak. Now it is full of holiday homes and appartments, long beaches and palmtrees. Spanish people come here during summertime and Scandinavians, English, Germans etc arrive later to escape their cold winters. There is a big yacht club, but I haven't seen any windsurfers or other surfers yet.
